I purchased a used 2008 LS460L from a Lexus dealer in Westminister, CA on 1/19/2015 - it had 90,067 miles. I have driven a 1999 LS400 with 82,000 mi that now has 225,000 mi. It has been the best car I have ever owned and never had a major expense. In fact all I have done since 2001 is put a starter in it at 151,000 mi. A broken trans. mount ($275), a rack and pinion, a cereal cable I broke, and an interior brake light bulb, 2 timing belts and two sets of iridium spark plugs - and the usual brakes, rotors and Mobil1, etc. I have never taken it to a Lexus dealer to get "Charbucks" and Bagels! I expected the same or better from an LS460L 15 yrs. newer ! Boy was I ever wrong. Now I have to replace both upper and lower front control arms or bushings The dealer wants $585 for ea. control arms or you can order after mkt. on EBAY, (i.e: two control arms for $189, which I did and they were put in at a shop for $180). The dealer quoted on 2/1/2013 - was $1875.81 parts plus $585 labor = $1460.81 + tax. It cost me with overnight postage from NY to Apple Valley, CA - UPS $115, parts $189, labor $180 = $393 TOTAL. The labor took two hrs. and $89 for another alignment. I still need the rear control arms put in as it is not in specs. Still!I just took the car on a road trip 3000 miles and had no problems. However the rear control arms still need to be replaced and the bushings are available on eBay for $49 for both sides, or you can pay the Lexus dealer $123.85 x 2 for control arms for both sides rear = $247.70 and $541.57 x 2 control arms - both sides 4 total $1330.84 + LABOR (?) + tax.

Tried Mercedes, drove him to 4 years, a decent car. BUT, after Lexus, I realized that she excels. Good streamlined, pleasant to look at, beautiful design, high-quality assembly. Also made of solid metal, in a collision it will not crumble. It contains more than 5-6 people, places inside enough, but still, for me, his wife and child, this is the best option. The trunk is large, fit a lot of things, a spacious. I recommend to everyone. I am confident in this brand.

The 2016 350 was sitting in our shaded driveway for two hours. We came out to drive and noticed the smell of something burning and saw the plastic faceplate had some melting streaks running diagonally across the GPS screen, etc. We took it to our local dealer who immediately began accusing us of 1. leaving it in the sun; 2. using finger nail polish remover to clean the screen and finally, 3. burning a candle in the cup holder. All three are not only false, but condescending in tone. They said it is impossible to melt the screen with the low voltage components inside the dash. They took a picture of the screen sent to Lexus, who denied the claim. They never even checked behind the panel to see if there was electrical damage. So I sent my insurance adjuster to inspect the car at the dealer. He found that catastrophic failure of the in-dash electronics had occurred. I again contacted Sewell Lexus in Dallas, and they told me there was no evidence of any electronic damage. I asked them to check the GPS, switches, etc. as the service manager had not. They didn't call me, but then sent me an estimate for repair exceeding $12,000. I sent my adjuster over a second time and again Sewell claimed it had to be external damage. Funny, there are no tool marks, scratched, or anything that would suggest anything external had caused the problem. Once more Sewell made the assumption that their former customer was at fault doing ridiculous things to our automobile. How can anyone assert a claim when the car that was at the dealership for over two months hadn't even been checked to see if the circuits worked! I haven't a clue if this is a one and only situation with Lexus, as this is our third or simply a dealer that's lost sight of his customers. My insurance adjuster insists that the failure caused the melting of the screen and fried all the circuits.

2013 Lexus RX350 nice ride, good in snow, reliable, and adequate storage. However, could be better visibility and need more room for passengers. Also navigation is poor. Electronic features are not intuitive. I end up just using my phone. I wish it had a phone integration feature.

Bought new RX350 from Lexus of Austin. DPS trooper pulled my wife over to let her know the bumper was coming off. Dealer accused us of wrecking the car. We did not wreck the car. Not according to my insurance company or the Trooper that pulled her over. They finally agreed to fix the car and screwed that up. Never buy from this dealer.

In June of 2014, I leased a new 2014 Lexus GS350 F-Sport. Well starting around 1700 miles the car started having issues such as warped rotors and the rear power sunshade decided when to retract and deploy on its own. Then a couple of months later, the real issues started with the car. I would go to get into the car but it wouldn't start. The engine would act like it would turn over and start but it wouldn't. Sometimes it took up to 10 tries to get the car started. Sometimes it just would go to accessory mode without even attempting to start. So needless to say, the car has been back and forth to the dealer for multiple electrical problems. Here are the biggest examples: Obviously, the non-starting issue. The power retractable steering wheel and power seat took me on a wild ride while driving down the road. The power rear sunshade still has a mind of its own. The Lexus Parking Assist senses things are there when nothing is actually there and then sometimes they decide not to work at all. My Navigation System crashing and rebooting while driving. Horrible squealing with the brakes, etc. The car has been in and out of the service department for all the electrical issues and they can't find the reason for the car not starting or any of the other electrical issues. The car only has about 7600 miles on it and it's currently in the shop since May 11, 2015. I'm getting quite annoyed and concerned that Lexus would produce a $60,000 vehicle with these types of problems. They are known for their reliability, craftsmanship, safety, and state of the art cars -- I beg to differ. I am just waiting to hear back from the dealership to get the next excuse of why they couldn't fix the car. Needless to say, this is my first and last Lexus. I just want Lexus or the Lexus dealership to buy back this horrific lemon of a car and give me my down payment back. There are better options out there.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I lease a Lexus IS300Fsport, I have had it for about 1 1/2 years now and I have had several issues with my car and Lexus does not care about trying to fix my problems. I'll start with when taking it in for oil change and regular service I advised them that my rear passenger tire had a problem because it was losing air and I was having to fill the tire every two weeks. I was told on 3 separate occasions there was nothing wrong with the tire. In December on my way to a meeting 2 hours away from home on the Turnpike I had a blow out on that tire. As of today I am still waiting for the service manager of the Fort Pierce location to call me back. When taking the car to a tire place I was informed that all 4 tires needed to be replaced as they were all cracked/dry rotted. This car is only 1 1/2 years old and has 25,000 miles. I was then shown that I needed brakes in the front. I spent $1,700.00 for tires and brakes on a new car. I have had many cars in my time and have never had to replace tires and brakes that soon and that low mileage. When I called the corporate office their response was that it was not uncommon. How is that even possible. They had no interest in helping me. On December 25, 2019 I got in the car to find a very nasty wet odor, I proceeded to feel the carpets and found that the passenger back carpet and under the seat was very wet, I dropped it off to the Kendal dealership as I was down there and going out of town. They had my car for 17 days. Never called to update me about the car nor called at any time to tell me what they were trying to do. I called every two days and got no information. After 17 days they called to tell me that they could not find anything and that I needed to pay them because they took the passenger seat out (without calling me to let me know this). By the way the car is under warranty. After 17 days I picked up my car with the same wet smell and wet carpet with them telling me I must have left a window open which I did not! They would not even dry it out for me which I asked them to do so that I could see if it happened again. I left the dealership and noticed that the cover plate underneath the car was not attached and was dragging, I went right back for them to tell me that it was not a big deal. It just needed to be clipped on, well why would the service person not do that before taking the car down off the lift. I then get home and it was dark at this point, but the next morning I woke to see that my driver side rim is destroyed!! I called the dealer immediately to advise them of this for them to tell me the manager was on a business trip and would return Saturday 1/18. I am at this point still waiting for him/her to call me back to discuss this matter. This is a lease and I can not turn the car in with a destroyed rim nor do I want to drive a $50,000 car that is only 1 1/2 years old with a destroyed rim. I am so disappointed in Lexus product but even more so with their staff/managers at more than one location. I would advise anyone thinking of getting a Lexus to spend your money elsewhere. I have been the owner of very expensive sports cars and have never had problems like this. The worst part is that Lexus does not even care! I guess that is what you can do when you are such a big cooperation. My daughter in law was either buying my lease out when it came time or getting a Lexus. I have advised her not to do either.... Very unhappy customer!

We bought a RX 330 that is fast and reliable. The technology package is state of the art with everything you can dream of. The car is very luxurious and comfortable too. The appearance is sports utility vehicle savvy and sleek with and a little style, bit of sexy in it. It fits my needs with style and is one of a kind. The inside is spacious and fits the whole family including a dog or two. It is very roomy and comfortable. Their technology package is out of this world. It is suited for every age, and is a perfect family car for all ages. I would definitely recommend this car for anybody looking for beyond luxury at an affordable price.

I have a 2008 RX350 with 54K miles. I had a couple of problems within its 4 -year warranty. One was to replace the oxygen sensor. Another one was to add more Freon (AC not cool enough). Now I have two other problems. Last month I had a flat tire and tried to use the lift jack provided to lift the car. The jack can't stand straight and will crush. This is very dangerous if you just remove the flat tire and your car will crush to the ground. I never saw such issues with Honda accord and Ford Taurus previously. I am considering to buy a floor jack. The rubber boot on rear strut was broken after just three and half years, it was still in warranty but I forgot to bring it to dealer for repair, due to some hardship of my personal life at that time. Now I worry about the replacement of that strut. Why do Lexus use such cheap part? It is hard to say Lexus is building a quality car. I don't know if I will buy another Lexus car in the future.

Rx350 Years behind in electronics and user interface. Inconsistent at best. From maps, to rear hatch to phone interface, to trip data it all is terrible. I turned in a Ram 1500 that was two years older but years advanced on all those features. The ride of the Ram was also much better. My previous four Genesis were also much more friendly.
