Product Reviews:

Got this car in a lease in 2017 from a very bad Kia dealership in Fort Walton Beach Florida. Continuously kept up with oil changes. The rear tail light on the driver side malfunctioned or I had to replace it twice because the seal was not staying sealed. Then I’d PCS to Hawaii 105 thousand miles. And with no notification the car stops running. Take it to the dealership and they said, "Oh well I’m sorry. You’re 5000 miles over the warranty." So there’s nothing that I can do. It’s $15,000 for a new motor. Very discouraging From dealership and Kia consumer affairs. Do not buy any Kia vehicles.

I purchased the 2018 Kia Sorento EX 3.3L AWD new in January 2018. I currently have 23k miles on the vehicle now. This vehicle has been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of cars. The AWD system works great, handling is great, power is there when you need it and it's comfortable. Every vehicle has its cons, but I find it difficult to find one with the Sorento. I know a few other people who own a Sorento and couldn't be happier with the purchase. The interior has a great feel and well put together, unlike a lot of new vehicles and their cheap composite plastic. The lines are almost seamless. The warranty (10yr/100k) seems great until you read the fine print. A lot of components are dropped off the warranty at certain mileage intervals along the way to the 100k benchmark. I did pay for the better warranty which covers all components to 100k miles, but even then other companies have warranties only going out to 24k to 36k miles, which is convenient to drop the vehicle's warranty the moment it leaves "new car status."I would recommend this vehicle to anyone that's considering purchasing an mid size SUV. For what you pay it's the best bang for the buck. There is a transmission software update available. I brought the vehicle back in at 5600 miles to have it completed. KIA sent a $50 Visa prepaid debit card in the mail due to the inconvenience. I've never received anything from any other manufacturer for an "inconvenience."

I bought my car, top of the line Sorento, brand new. I had problems since I drove off of the lot. The major problems are excessive vibration, pulling to the left and most recently corrosion on the inside edge of my hood. Kia does not want to take responsibility for any of these issues and after doing my research, others are complaining of the same problems. This will be the last Kia that I ever own.

I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento 22 months ago. Driving a few days ago, the vehicle started making a very old noise, then a huge bang. Stop and the car hasn't moved since. No check engine light... no low oil like... no indication that anything was going wrong. I kept all maintenance and upkeep records. I had a log on the oil changes since my dad did them regularly. The engine locked up, Kia wants 6,500 dollars to replace. I purchased the extended warranty, the warranty company will not honor since the oil changes were not performed at a shop. I'm on a very difficult place being I still owe on car and don't have 6500 dollars laying around to buy another motor... this is a known problem and they are doing nothing to fix it!! I have the warranty and they refuse to cover since my dad did the oil changes. They told me they don't have proof my dad actually physically put the oil in my car so they refuse to approve the repairs!!! This warranty coverage was not cheap either. I don't know what to do, I'm a single mom, no reliable transportation to work now. Don't buy a Kia!!!

This has been the WORST experience I have EVER had. I went through USAA to buyout my Kia from a lease. Two months later I start getting collections calls saying I'm two months behind because Indiana is a dealer only state, and not only was I never informed, records indicate that Kia CASHED the check from USAA. They claim they issued a refund check to USAA but a week later, USAA still doesn't have it. Now I am paying two car loans, both of which are accruing interest. THIS IS ILLEGAL!

Well I bought a 2014 Sorento and it has died on me 3 times. The 1st time the memory board went the 2nd day I had it. They fixed it. 2nd time the battery went. They replaced it. Well today 4/17 I went to start my car and is dead again, unknown why. We called to have Kia to come tow and speak to a sales manager cause the service department was closed as per secretary. She advised speak to a sales manager, left message, didn't get a call back. Called again and was told only one manager and we would have to wait until 4/18 to speak with someone. In the meantime I don't have a car and I have a disabled five year old with health problems and spends a lot of time in the hospital. What am I to do if something happens? Call a cab, better yet. Every month I go to Boston Massachusetts to Boston Children's hospital. What if this happened going there and I was stuck. This would be a huge health risk. I want a new car. This is ridiculous!!

My 2011 Kia Sorrento was literally a gift from God. I genuinely would not have chosen it but circumstances dictated my purchase, I would not change a thing. This vehicle is efficient, reliable and affordable. I would buy it again!

Purchased a 2014 Kia Sorento in May 2013 and due to a storm it was immediately unable to be driven. This is when I found out that there are no parts in the US to repair the vehicle. They said it is made in the US but all the parts are in Korea...figure that one out. Calls to KIA corporate are not returned. KIA's website will not let you complete their form and submit it as I tried from 3 different computers. If you are considering a Korean vehicle, think again.

Kia's customer service department is the absolute WORST customer service department that I have ever dealt with in my 52 years of living. I paid my car off more than 6 months ago and I have called at least 12 times in the past 4 months seeking assistance but, I have been unable to obtain my title. Every time that you call them, there is a new excuse. First, it was lost in the mail. So, I asked them to provide a duplicate. The next 10 calls I was promised something by mail. Here I am 4+ months later and I have still not received anything from them. I'm at my wits end. Do yourself a favor and NEVER deal with this lousy company. If they gave me my next car for free, I would actually tell them to keep it. That's how angry I am. I'm going to call a local TV station in NY and ask them to help me rectify the situation by getting them involved and embarrassing KIA in front of thousands of their viewers. I'm not going to get mad, I'm going to get even. MORAL OF THE STORY: DO NOT BUY A KIA.

I have a 2012 Kia Soul with 14,100 miles on it. Every few months the battery loses a charge and has to be jumpstarted. I had it towed into the Kia dealership and they tell me (for the 12th time now) that I don't drive the car enough! We are on our 3rd battery, which required me to fight like crazy to get Kia to pay for, and it's since again in the shop for another battery replacement! Today I was told I need to drive the car 2 hours a day to keep the battery charged AND I can't keep the car outdoors in the winter because the cold harms the battery! I'm sorry but this car is for my college student daughter, where the heck can she park a car indoors in college? I really am disappointed in Kia and the dealership for not trying to find out the issue with this car! I will never buy another Kia again!!!
