The 2017 Honda HR-V is a subcompact crossover SUV known for its versatility, fuel efficiency, and practical features. Here are some of the key features of the 2017 Honda HR-V:
Engine: The 2017 HR-V typically comes with a 1.8-liter inline-4 engine producing around 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) or a 6-speed manual transmission, depending on the trim level and configuration.
Interior Space: The HR-V is known for its innovative "Magic Seat" system, which allows the rear seats to be configured in different ways to maximize cargo space and accommodate various items. Cargo Flexibility: Thanks to the "Magic Seat" system, the HR-V offers exceptional cargo-carrying capabilities for a subcompact SUV. The rear seats can be configured to accommodate different types of cargo, from tall items to long items by folding the front passenger seat flat.
All-Wheel Drive: The HR-V offers an available all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that improves traction and stability, especially in challenging road conditions.
Fuel Efficiency: The HR-V is known for its fuel efficiency, making it a cost-effective choice for daily commuting and longer trips.
Safety Features: The 2017 HR-V comes with a variety of safety features, including a rearview camera, antilock brakes, stability control, and a range of airbags. Depending on the trim level, higher-level safety features such as forward collision warning and lane departure warning might also be available.
Exterior Styling: The HR-V features a sleek and modern exterior design with a distinctive sloping roofline and attractive LED lighting elements.
Comfort and Convenience: Higher trim levels of the 2017 HR-V offer features like leather upholstery, heated front seats, automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, and a sunroof.
Compact Size: The HR-V's compact size makes it well-suited for urban environments and tight parking spaces while still offering a comfortable and spacious interior.
Overall, the 2017 Honda HR-V is a practical and versatile subcompact SUV that combines the benefits of a smaller footprint with clever interior features and modern technology. It's an appealing choice for those seeking a vehicle that's easy to maneuver and offers flexible cargo options.

We called for roadside assistance due to a flat tire. We called at 7:00 pm. We were told 40 minutes. After 40 minutes we were told 15 minutes more. After 15 minutes we were told 25 more minutes. We complained to the call center after each delay. Finally they told us a new service would come in an hour!!! We were very upset. After another half hour both services showed up. It was an awful experience!Felicia of Fort Lee, NJ

We were denied warranty coverage by Honda America since they claim we did not follow the correct procedures for towing as outlined in the manual. I followed the procedures each day we traveled but they still denied coverage. Has anyone else suffered this injustice? Consequences - we are out of pocket $ 6,400. The dealer in New Orleans that did the work is Premier Honda.Jay of Mesa, AZ

Yesterday, after taking my Honda Civic 2010 in for a check after hearing an odd noise under the front right side, I was informed that I needed new brake pads! I only have 22,000 miles on the car! This is my 3rd new Honda and this is the first time I've had to get new pads at such a low number of driving miles! I reluctantly left my car at the dealership for the repair as I was unable to reach another auto repair shop over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. This will be the last Honda that I will ever purchase. The cost will be about $250.00 or a little higher. Very disappointed as I bought a car that I could rely on during these hard economic times!Cathy of Red Bank, NJ

I have a Honda Stunner CBF 125cc and my bike number is tn-09-bf-5872. I purchased this bike on 8/11/2010.The problem that I want to discuss with you is that my bike battery is not working. I faced the problem last month and am going again and again there every day. They are saying some excuses and I complained it to dealer many times but problem is still not solved. Battery is still under warranty. Please take strict action against the company. Please take action as soon as possible.V.Balasubramanian of Chennai, IN

When I bought my '05 Honda Accord Hybrid, I was told the hybrid battery would last to 150,000 to 200,000 miles. At 81,000, just after the warranty expired, the check engine & IMA (hybrid battery) light came on. I paid $300 for a 'software upgrade' at the time & was assured by Honda Customer Service that they would stand by their product. Over the next couple of years, the lights came on periodically and I've had to pay for additional 'software upgrades.' The last time it happened, the lights came on again less than 30 days later. Now Honda is saying the battery is bad and needs to be replaced, at my expense. I have called several dealers and gotten estimates ranging from $2,700 to $5,700 (for parts only). When I purchased this car, I was told the battery would cost $2,000 or less. Now I'm stuck with a car that will not pass a state safety inspection without paying several thousand dollars for a replacement battery. On top of it, the car has NEVER gotten the mileage Honda claimed it would get. In fact, it gets WORSE mileage than my last Honda Accord.Connie of Fort Dodge, IA

After my accident and insurance inspection, there were four to five damaged parts which were to be replaced (caused due to accident) and was told that within seven to ten working days, I will get the car back. I have been waiting everyday but things seem to proceed further.Today, after three weeks of continuous chase, I finally get an answer from Ayub ** (General Manager of Hall Mark Honda) that the spare parts are still not available and will let me know by tomorrow for the exact status. Ayub also mentioned that I may also put up a complaint on customer care. Today, I have made a complaint to the Customer Care--my complaint number is **.In the beginning, when we were to give the vehicle for servicing, why didn't they check with their big company for the spare parts prior to giving commitments to us? I require my car for commuting to work on a daily basis and with such delays and poor service, it is really not worth buying a Honda car.I have gotten sick and tired with no correct feedback, following-up with the branch, and getting atrocious responses like, "we shall get back to you in two hours" or "the responsible person is not available." I really think that Honda is testing our patience. Such inadequate service and inefficient staff! We will no longer seek or expect any help from your branch's disinterested individuals, who seems to be highly skilled ** jugglers.Kindly consider my dissatisfaction and disappointment with such useless services and try to solve my query soon. It is suffice to say that I have now given up on my futile and foolhardy quest but I still hope to receive some kind of service from you. I am awaiting immediate response.Vishal of Mumbai, Other

We have a 2013 Honda Odyssey in white. On June 1st 2019 Honda issued a service bulletin saying they would fix the defective pealing paint on “certain” VIN numbers. Luckily our car was one of those approved VIN numbers, HOWEVER.... they claim that they will ONLY repaint 2 areas on our car, the roof and the tailgate. We have other visible areas starting to flake off and peel away, especially around our windows and it’s only a matter of time before the rest of this faulty paint falls off. It’s the ENTIRE CAR that’s covered in this defective paint, repainting only a couple areas is NOT OKAY! We are extremely furious and want our car completely painted in order to fully fix our cars paint!Kim of Murrieta, CA

Wife purchased a 2019 Ridgeline. At 89 miles vehicle would not start and was towed to Honda. Since then the vehicle has 1200 miles and has broken down 4 times. 3 times it was towed for not starting and the only reason it wasn't towed a fourth time was that it literally broke down at the dealership after they had it for two days diagnosing why it would not start. Literally did not drive 100 feet and the transmission stopped working. Talked with customer service a few times so far. INFURIATING!! On my first call I was informed rather quickly I would NOT be getting my money back or a new truck. When asked what they were going to do for me... wait for it... they said "They would call them and tell them to fix it right!!!" AWESOME!!! In subsequent conversations all customer service regurgitates is "warranty and repair" talking points. At NO time will they discuss the consistent breakdowns as a problem nor will they let me speak to anyone above them. They disconnected me yesterday as I refuse to sit and listen to someone rattle off the business talking points. I would think any reasonable person would expect their new vehicle to not break down 4 times in the first 1200 miles. Seems Honda doesn't mind how many times it happens. Because remember... they will call and have them fix it right. NEVER AGAIN!!Doug of Gilbert, AZ

Having owned seven Camry's, I chose the HR-V for its size and parking ability. With one glaring exception, the HR-V is everything and more than I expected. It rides well, is comfortable (I added good sheep-skin seat covers) and gets good mileage. Everything is accessible and well thought-out EXCEPT the horns. The horns are weak and sound like a child's toy with its tinny "Beep, Beep". To replace them you must remove the front bumper/grill and bolt on new ones. Not cheap.Kenneth of Granada Hills, CA
